"I just polished off the colors on the first issue of Destroyer not too long ago. Destroyer, for those of you who don't know, is a new Max mini-series coming out from Marvel starting in April, kept in check by assistant editor extraordinaire Sebastian Girner.

The creative team is a couple of guys you already know (or should).

The book is written by Robert Kirkman, the man behind Walking Dead and Invincible as well as a recent run on Marvel's Ultimate X-Men. Robert's story in Destroyer is everything you've come to expect from one of his titles. Wham-bam intense action mixed in with subtle, yet informative character development that sets the stage without rubbing it in your face. The ending of the first issue definitely sets the tone for what's to follow in the upcoming issues, and that's all I'm gonna say about that. Be prepared for a brutal ride!

Next up is Cory Walker, the illustrator on Destroyer, who was also the original artist on Invincible and the artist on some key issues of DC Comic's Shadowpact. Cory's one of those modern mysteries. A lot of folks look at his work and say "Oh, that's cartoonish." But the reality is some how Cory can take a reductionist style that puts the key information on the page and still manage to cram in all of this crazy detail. It's honesty one of the hardest books I've worked on in a while because it's easy to overlook all the tiny embellishments that Cory adds in every panel. His art lends to rendering extraordinarily well, and I hope I helped make it shine. I told Cory myself that I'm probably not good enough to handle his art, so I hope you all feel I did it justice!

So if you don't have Destroyer on your pull list, I recommend making sure you do so you don't miss out!"
